I’m Vance, a Web Designer Living in Oakland, CA
I’m also a web developer, graphic designer, freelancer, and an employee at the University of California, San Diego. I have over 15 years of experience designing beautiful websites based on web standards.
I’ve worked at UC San Diego’s Academic Computing and Media Services for over 6 years and have produced websites for over 50 campus departments and groups including the Department of Medicine, the Division of Biological Sciences, and the Wm. K. Warren Medical Research Center for Celiac Disease. I began working remotely as of August 2012.
Outside of UC San Diego, I’m a freelance web designer and developer, creating websites for artists, innovators, and businesses such as the The Sox Box, Hubbell & Hubbell Architects, Ilan-Lael Foundation, and Martin Structural Consulting.
When I’m not making websites, I like to play video games, go to indie music shows, and ride bikes with my boo.
About this Site
This site employs responsive design principles. It automatically scales to comfortably fit smartphones, tablets, desktops, TVs, and everything in between. I believe it’s the future of the web.
