At lunch today, when I lifted the sleeve of my shirt to scratch my upper arm, Jennifer remarked at how white the clothed portions of my arms were. That quickly resulted in me and Matt comparing our Programmer’s Tans with the requisite manly scowl.

I just came across the strangest, oddest, least-thesaurus-using, product description ever. A link sent by Matt brought me to the DeskLickr download page.
On the surface, it’s an idea I can get behind – dynamic wallpaper that is pulled automatically from everyone’s favorite photo site, Flickr. Upon further examination, I found the description rather off-putting. This guy used “sexy” four times in that tiny block of text describe software. Someone, get this man a Roget’s!… or some female companionship.

On Saturday, Matt, Annabelle, Julie, Richard, and I made the Simpsons fan pilgrimage to the Kwik-E-Mart in Burbank. There was a line that wrapped around the store, but it was worth the wait. I’m impressed by the effort taken to decorate the 7-11. They even had ‘El Barto’ graffiti on the wall.
I just got a 3-pack of Buzz Cola while Matt went all out and purchased the Pink Donuts, Buzz, and Radioactive Man comic.
I highly recommend seeing the movie if you get the chance! I caught the midnight showing on Thursday and was thoroughly satisfied – it was much better than I expected.
I don’t recall how the topic of Jack Chick‘s tracts got brought up, but when Matt (of Unfeddered Access fame) showed me the comic, Dark Dungeons, I instantly thought of the Magnum P.I. Yes, the Upstanding Christian gentleman that rallies against the heathen depravity of Dungeons and Dragons in the comic bears a striking similarity to Tom Selleck.
Separated at birth? Chick’s muse? You be the judge.

During lunch last week, Matt, Caleb, and I created our Simpsons avatars. Results? I look like a taller version of Milhouse, Matt is a gay cowboy for some reason, and Caleb has come back from the dead – or is just really, really into death metal.
In related news, 7-11 is changing some of their stores to look like Kwik-E-Marts. And they’re serving pink donuts and squishees too! How awesome is that?!

I’ve been working on my new blog template for about a week now and just uploaded it. Of course, it’s buggy as hell. I’m quite tired right now, but I had the burning urge to overwrite the default “I just setup WordPress – whoop-dee-doo” message. More later when I get some REM cycles in.
I’m surprised that I stayed up this long to work on the site especially since I only got 4 hours of sleep last night. kthxbye.
